Sachin Tendulkar served Indian cricket for almost two and a half decades but his father passed away in 1999 during the World Cup. He was not with the Master in his next 15 years of his career but Sachin always had a special affection towards his father. He always used to see towards the sky after every century and dedicate it to him. Rajdeep Sardesai, in his book ‘Democracy XI’, has revealed that Sachin had said once that Dhoni always reminds him of his father due to his calmness.
“From the very first time we met, Mahi has given me complete respect.
Maybe he reminds me a bit of my father; be it in success or failure,
